I will be working on a Sour Patch Kids commercial. Most Sour Patch Kids commercials tend to follow an unlucky protagonist as they're tormented by the Sour Patch Kids, before the Kids show a kind gesture. There are several reoccurring qualities to a Sour Patch Kids commercial. The ones I have been able to find are as follows.

1. Voiceover. Every ad for Sour Patch Kids I could find had a voiceover, which usually follow the same format. "First their sour, then their sweet."
2. The trademark slogan.  In every Sour Patch Kids commercial, there is the iconic slogan for the brand. "Sour Patch Kids. Sour. Sweet. Gone." If it isn't this line exactly, then it is some variation on it.
3. Comedy. In every commercial I have seen, the Sour Patch Kids tend to follow a predetermined comedic routine. First they're cruel or mean to somebody before being nice in some way. This procedure corresponds with the voiceover as they're giving their lines. I think the comedic aspect of the commercials is designed to keep the product in the minds of potential consumers so that nice feeling associated with laughter is brought up whenever someone looks at a packet of Sour Patch Kids. The comedy in the commercials is so synonymous with the brand that if there was a commercial without this aspect, most fans would consider it spiritually separate from the Sour Patch brand.
