Planning

Props

The props I plan for using in the commercial are a pizza cutter, a ketchup stained t-shirt, and a wallet.

Costumes

Costumes I plan on using are a white t-shirt and separate ketchup stained t-shirt. That way, instead of pouring ketchup onto someone, they can just switch t-shirts, which saves time. There will also be someone wearing solid color shirt and pants to represent the sour patch kid(s).

Schedule

On October 22, I will research common tropes and conventions in commercials for my selected product.
On October 23, I will decide on the props, costumes, schedule, location, and actors for the commercial, along with any back-up plans for if they aren't available.
By October 27, I will submit a storyboard outlining the commercial.
Between October 28 and 30th, I will record the necessary shots to make the commercial. During this time, we will edit the recordings to make a commercial of suitable quality and length.

Location

The commercial will be filmed at my house. The majority of the filming will be inside the house, but some will be filmed outside too. Since Sour Patch commercials tend to tell a story, having the characters constantly going between different places would be difficult.

Back-up Plan

A back-up plan is in place for every uncertain part. The props are all household items that can be easily obtained or made. The same is true for the costumes. All that is required for the costumes are two t-shirts of the same color. One must be stained in ketchup, rendering it virtually unusable; that just means the shirt we use should be one that we are going to throw away or one we wouldn't mind throwing away. Since the location is my own house, I am confident that a back-up plan would not be necessary. However, in the case of something unforeseeable happening, we could also use any of the other actors' homes for the commercial. On the topic of actors, there will be multiple different people in the commercial. By chance none of them are available, I should still be able to film it by myself.
